These cookies could blend into any fall foliage. Bright marbleized colors are sure to wow everyone. With colored dough, these cookies are simple and beautiful- no decorating necessary!
Step 1: Prepare cookie dough. For a great roll-out cookie recipe click here. Divide dough into sections. Color each section of dough a different fall color. Place the dough sections together. If the dough has become sticky from the added food color, place the cookie dough in the refrigerator to firm back up.
Step 2: Set cookie dough onto a flour dusted surface and place white perfection strips on both sides of the dough. Roll cookie dough out until it is the same thickness as the strips.
Step 3: Cut leaves out from different areas of the dough.
Step 4: Fold the dough over and re-roll out. Cut more leaves out.
The more times the dough is folded over, the more marbleized the leaves will be. Be careful not to over work the dough, as the colors may start to blend together too much. After the first roll out, we folded the dough and rolled it out 2 additional times. You can see the progression of the marbleizing in the picture below.
